Kalarichikilsa Theory

Postby admin » Sun Apr 05, 2009 8:50 am

Kalari Chikilsa has its roots in the traditional Ayurveda and the Siddhaveda systems practiced in South India. It is, however, recognised as a unique system, using indigenous medicinal preparations and methodologies particular only to itself.

Traditional Indian medicine teaches that the human body is composed not merely of physical matter, but also from subtle energy known as Prana. Within the physical body fluids and nerve impulses travel via the circulatory and nervous systems respectively. Within the subtle body Prana travels via the Nadi channels and Chakras centres.

The healing aspect of Kalari, blends itself immense psycho - spiritual strength to its practitioners. The Marma points have variably been described as - 'killer spots', in ancient texts, when used against the enemy. Nevertheless, when used to heal, this is a source of tremendous relief to the different imbalances in the human mileau. Having had the opportunity to witness the different facets of healing, I have gained the insight that healing of the body is seldom enough for a proper cure. Healing through kalarichikitsa, with its intricated tesselation of nerve circuits and muscle physiology is indeed most rewarding for all those, who are in search for an alternative method of healing their body.
